"CCLI is not a music industry business. It is a service to the Church. It is not in the business of creating or tracking radio hit songs. Think of it, they track the worship songs we sing in church. This gives them a distinct lack of pretension and a great sympathy for worship leaders, pastors and the entire Christian community. I find this refreshing."

For example, if a church has 8 musicians on the worship team, and learns one new song per week, then 8 reproductions per week would be produced, making over the course of a year 416 reproductions. The appropriate category in this case might be Category B, which would cost $209.00.

As another example, let's refer to that church again, with 8 musicians on the worship team. Let's say that they learn a new song for 48 weeks of the year (8x48=384 copies), then at Easter copy 6 songs (6x8=48 copies), the same for Christmas (another 48 copies), there are 3 songs copied for 5 weddings (3x5x8=120 copies), 2 songs copied for 2 funerals (2x2x8=32 copies), and one third of the worship team loses their previously made copies of other songs made in the current and the previous years, so new copies have to be made (416x2/3=280 copies). Taking that example, that church would be making something like 912 copies in the year, requiring Category D, costing $409.00.

When determining the correct category size for your church take into account the extra copies made for special events such as Easter or Christmas celebrations, weddings, funerals, church camps, children and youth programs.

The Total Fee includes Licence, service fees and GST. (All prices listed in Australian dollars.)

If there is a difference between the number of reproductions reported on your Music Reproduction (Photocopy) Worksheet and the Category of Licence taken out, we will issue either a refund or an invoice.
